I forgot to say that I work with turning around both business and personal relationships and one of the things I have to stress to clients is how important it is that they give and come from the heart.

I loved hearing about your chat with Captain Dahigren especially as you were giving us a wonderfully illustrated story (with such colourful pictures - in my mind :)) in which the Captain (and you) give us tips for building our business.

I too, recently came back from Thailand where I visited 3 areas...Chiang Mai in the North, Kao Lak in the South (an hour north of Phuket) and Bangkok. What struck me the most overall on this trip was the difference between the people in the 3 areas. Like your Captain said, coming from the heart IS important. In Chiang Mai they certainly did that...they were friendly, helpful, open, smiling and they had tremendous respect for everyone. In Bangkok, they were too busy rushing around to care about anyone. In Kao Lak they had rebuilt after the sounami (which was hit the worse in Thailand) and the people there were all from elsewhere...if they hadn't died, they fled...and those there, well they were friendly but their hearts weren't in it like the Chiang Mai people. In fact they seemed more desperate.

Thank you Johan

Thanks for your comments. (And sorry for such a delayed reply!)
I am glad you enjoyed the articles. Do you mind me asking: what specifically about the articles do you like?
Warmly,
Johan.
